Posted on the Faculty Council website on November 24, 2009, and classified as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. On December 4, 2009, approved by the Faculty Council on a no-protest basis. Transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on December 7, 2009. Approved by the provost on behalf of the president and transmitted to the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs on April 19, 2010. Non-substantive changes were made to the legislation and approved by the three proposing colleges on March 30, 2010. The Faculty Council on a no-protest basis approved the updated legislation on May 3, 2010. The approved revisions were transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on May 4, 2010, which were subsequently transmitted to UT System by the provost on behalf of the president. On May 18, 2010, the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs transmitted notification of approval to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Final approval received from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board on October 5, 2010.
