F. ITEMS REFERRED BY THE PRESIDENT TO THE PROVOST FOR REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION.

D 8997 Revisions Proposed by the Graduate Assembly to Recent Amendments to the In Absentia Policy Passed by the Faculty Council in May 2011. Posted on the Faculty Council website on September 16, 2011. The secretary has classified this proposal as general legislation. The Faculty Council approved the revision on a no-protest basis on September 26, 2011. Transmitted to the President on September 27, 2011. In a letter dated October 4, 2011, the President’s Office requested written recommendation regarding the legislation from Provost Leslie and Vice President Ohlendorf. Final approval resides with UT System.

D 9108-9117 Motion to Update the Core Curriculum Course Lists for the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014. Posted on the Faculty Council website on October 25, 2011.The Secretary has classified this as general legislation. The motion was approved by the Council at its meeting on October 31, 2011, and transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on November 2, 2011. Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Proposed Changes to the Red McCombs School of Business Chapter in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014.Posted on the Faculty Council website on December 1, 2011. The Committee on Undergraduate Degree Program Review (CUDPR) recommended approval of the changes on October 12, 2011, and forwarded the proposals to the Office of the General Faculty. The secretary classified the following proposals as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. The Faculty Council approved these proposals on a no-protest on December 12, 2011, and they were transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on December 14, 2011.

Final approval resides with UT System with formal notification to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

  • Request to Add a Supply Logistics Optimization Certificate Program (D 9248-9251).
  • Proposed Changes to the BBA Degree Requirements (D 9252-9256).
Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
  • Proposed Name Change to the Engineering Route to the BBA Degree Program (D 9257-9262).
 
D 9286-9344 Proposed Changes to the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014. Posted on the Faculty Council website on December 15, 2011. The Committee on Undergraduate Degree Program Review (CUDPR) recommended approval of the changes on December 14, 2011, and forwarded the proposals to the Office of the General Faculty. The Faculty Council considered each proposal on a no-protest basis with deadlines imposed by classification.

The secretary classified the following proposals as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. The Faculty Council approved these proposals on a no-protest on January 9, 2012, and they were transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on January 10, 2012.

Final approval resides with UT System with formal notification to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The Faculty Council approved these proposals on a no-protest on December 22, 2011, and they were transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on January 10, 2012.
