D 9346-9347 Proposed Change to the Honors Day Policy in the General Information Catalog. Posted on the Faculty Council website on January 12, 2012. The secretary has classified this proposal as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. The Faculty Council approved the proposal on a no protest-basis on January 23. 2012, and it was transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president on January 24, 2012. On March 5, 2012, Vice Provost Gretchen Ritter transmitted the legislation to UT System recommending approval. On March 28 2012, final approval was received from UT System.

The secretary has classified this proposal as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. On February 29, 2012, the Faculty Council approved the legislation on a no-protest basis. On March 1, 2012, the proposal was transmitted to the provost on behalf of the president. On March 21, 2012, the provost transmitted the legislation to UT System recommending approval. On March 28, 2012, UT System granted final approval.

D 9675 Schedule for Meetings of the Faculty Council in 2012-2013. Posted on the Faculty Council website on April 27, 2012. On May 7, 2012, the Faculty Council approved the schedule on a no-protest basis. The schedule of meetings was transmitted to the president immediately following the Faculty Council meeting. No further action is required.

D 9676-9677 Resolution in Support of Academic Freedom in the Case of Loretta Capeheart. Posted on the Faculty Council website on February 17, 2012. On May 1, 2012, the Faculty Council approved the resolution by email vote with twenty-four votes in support and seven votes against. On May 3, 2012, the resolution was transmitted to the president for his information. No further action is required.
