LEGISLATION UNDER REVIEW BY THE FACULTY COUNCIL.

D 9100 Report of the Committee to Nominate Voting Faculty Members to the Undergraduate Studies Advisory Committee. Posted on the Faculty Council website on October 18, 2011. The Secretary has classified this as general legislation. The Faculty Council will elect a representative from a panel of names presented at its next meeting, which will be held on October 31, 2011. Final approval resides with the Faculty Council with notification to the President and to the Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.

D 9101 Resolution from the Faculty Council Executive Committee Regarding  Conferral of Degrees. Posted on the Faculty Council website on October 18, 2011. The Faculty Council will act on the resolution at its next meeting on October 31, 2011. Final approval resides with the Faculty Council with notification to the President.

D 9108-9117 Motion to Update the Core Curriculum Course Lists for the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014. Posted on the Faculty Council website on October 25, 2011. The motion will be be considered by the Council at its next meeting on October 31, 2011. The Secretary has classified this as general legislation. Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

D 9118-9120 Proposed Changes to Bridging Disciplines Programs in the School of Undergraduate Studies Chapter in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014. Posted on the Faculty Council website on October 25, 2011. The Secretary has classified this as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. The Committee on Undergraduate Degree Program Review recommended approval of the change on October 5, 2011, and forwarded the proposed changes to the Office of the General Faculty. If no objection is filed with the Office of the General Faculty by November 4, 2011, the legislation will be held to have been approved by the Faculty Council. If an objection is filed within the prescribed period, the legislation will be presented to the Faculty Council at its next meeting. The objection, with reasons, must be signed by a member of the Faculty Council. Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
