STATUS OF LEGISLATION APPROVED BY THE FACULTY COUNCIL OR THE GENERAL FACULTY.

D. ITEMS UNDER REVIEW BY THE OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR.

D 7825-7844 Proposed revisions of the Handbook of Operating Procedures, Sections 3.18 and 4.03 from the Faculty Grievance Committee. Posted on the Faculty Council website on February 9, 2010, and classified as general legislation. Approved by the Faculty Council at its meeting on February 15, 2010. Transmitted to the President on February 16, 2010. In a letter dated March 22, 2010, the President's office requested written recommendation regarding the legislation from Provost Leslie and Vice President Ohlendorf. Upon the recommendations from Provost Leslie and Vice President Ohlendorf, the proposals were approved by the President and transmitted to the Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Planning and Assessment on April 23, 2010. Final approval resides with UT System.

  • Teaching Assistant and Assistant Instructor Grievance Procedures (D 7836-7844).

D 8901-8904 Add a Certificate in Textile Conservation Program for Non-Textiles and Apparel Undergraduate Students to the Division of Textiles and Apparel in the College of Natural Sciences Chapter in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014.Posted on the Faculty Council website on August 24, 2011. The secretary has classified this proposal as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. Approved by the Faculty Council on a no-protest basis on September 3, 2011. Transmitted to the Provost on behalf of the President on September 6, 2011. On October 17, 2011, Provost Leslie approved the proposal and transmitted it to UT System. Final approval resides with UT System with formal notification to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

D 8905-8920 Proposed Changes to the College of Fine Arts Chapter in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2012-2014. The items listed below were posted on the Faculty Council website on August 24, 2011, on a no-protest basis with a protest deadline of September 3, 2011. The secretary has classified these proposals as legislation of general interest to more than one college or school. A protest was received against these items in the Office of the General Faculty; however, on September 8, 2011, the protest was withdrawn, and the proposals were transmitted to the Provost on behalf of the President. Subsequently, the proposals were approved by the Provost and transmitted to UT System on October 17, 2011. Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
