  Pages 248-250, 253-254

GIVE A DETAILED RATIONALE FOR CHANGE(S):

  1. All certification fields in Fine Arts must be listed in this section. Therefore, “Dance” is being added to become a new teaching certification field.
  2. All certification fields in Fine Arts must be listed in this section. Therefore, “Dance” is being added to become a new teaching certification field.
  3. All certification fields in Fine Arts must be listed under the specific major.  Students seeking teacher certification in dance will be required to follow the Dance Studies Option.
  4. Students now have the option of following the existing major requirements of the dance major (which has become the Dance Option) or they can pursue the new Dance Studies Option, which leads to teacher certification. TD 352T is better suited for the Dance Studies Option than 322E or 322J because it provides a broader range of skills in dance technique studies. Approved electives will house the student teaching requirements.
