MINUTES OF THE REGULAR FACULTY COUNCIL MEETING OF
FEBRUARY 17, 2014

IV.
REPORT OF THE CHAIR.
Chair Hillary Hart (distinguished senior lecturer, civil, architectural, and environmental engineering) thanked President Powers, and then proceeded to give a brief report starting with information about the UTS 175 and UTS 180 training module, which had been made available to help faculty and staff comply with the policies. President Powers added that a lot of people had worked very hard to make the training module as good as it could be given the time constraints. He forewarned the members that the module would be frustrating and “to bear with it and us [the administration].”

Dr. Hart then discussed the status of the voting rights legislation, which had been held up in the Policy Office for language revisions and other issues. She informed the Council that nominations had opened for college representation on the Council and encourage participation. She also reminded members that curriculum changes had been posted on a no-protest basis with a protest deadline of February 26.
