F. ITEMS REFERRED BY THE PRESIDENT TO THE PROVOST FOR REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION.

D 8456-8458 Proposed Revisions to the Departmental Budget Council Constitution and Authority in the Handbook of Operating Procedures. Posted on the Faculty Council website on November 3, 2010, and classified as general legislation. On November 15, 2010, the Faculty Council approved the proposal, and it was transmitted to the president on November 16, 2010. On November 22, 2010, President Powers asked Executive Vice President and Provost Steven Leslie and Vice Presidents Patricia Ohlendorf and Kevin Hegarty for written recommendation regarding the legislation. On December 7, 2010, Provost Leslie recommended approval of the legislation. On September 3, 2013, Vice President Ohlendorf responded with concerns about the proposal. On October 3, 2013, the president’s office requested written recommendation from Executive Vice President and Provost Gregory Fenves. Final approval resides with UT System.

D 10332-10342 Request to Add a UTeach Natural Sciences Secondary Teaching Option Certificate and/or Request for Recognition on the University Transcripts in the College of Natural Sciences Section in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2014-2016. Posted on the Faculty Council website on August 26, 2013, and classified as general legislation. The Committee on Undergraduate Degree Program Review recommended approval of the change on April 29, 2013, and forwarded the proposed changes to the Office of the General Faculty. On September 5, 2013, the Faculty Council approved the proposal on a no-protest basis, and it was transmitted to the provost on September 9, 2013. Final approval resides with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

D 10343-10347 Request to Add an Evidence and Inquiry Certificate and/or Request for Recognition on the University Transcripts in the College of Natural Sciences Section in the Undergraduate Catalog, 2014-2016.
