The annual meeting of the Texas A&M Faculty Senate and the UT Faculty Council, which is being hosted by Texas A&M will meet on Monday, March 3 at College Station. The attached agenda includes three concurrent sessions on the following topics:
- MOOCS and other teaching related environments and innovations in technology
- Influences external entities have on universities
- How will younger faculty be supported financially given the increased limitations on funding sources (i.e. government agencies, NIS, endowments, etc.)
- Changes in indirects
- Changes in administration leadership and its impact on research and its funding
The deadline to RSVP (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) is February 17 by 5 p.m. Be sure to indicate which session you are most interested in attending and whether or not you will ride the chartered bus. Our office will be happy to request travel authorization for those attending. Note that the bus will depart from 24th Street and Whitis at 8:30 a.m. and will leave College Station around 4:00 p.m.
This meeting will provide a great opportunity to discuss issues of joint interest to our two Universities. We hope you can attend.
