Council
F. Meetings
1.
Unless the Council determines otherwise, its regular
meetings shall be held the third Monday of each month, with the
first meeting of the year being held in September.
2.
Special meetings shall be called by the Chair of
the Council at his or her own instance or at the request of five
(5) or more members of the Council.
3.
Meetings of the Council are open to the public.
4.
At the invitation of the Chair or by a majority
vote of the Council, when subjects relevant to them are under discussion,
faculty, students, administrators, and staff who are not members
of the Council may participate in the discussion but not vote.
5.
The presiding officer may control the use of tape
recorders, cameras, and like devices as necessary to the orderly
work of the Council.
6.
Resolutions and legislation may be introduced by
any member of the Council, but all resolutions and legislation
must have at least two sponsors, at least one of whom must be an
elected faculty member.
