Council
H. Records of the Council
1.
Minutes of the proceedings and other records of
the Council shall be kept by the Secretary.
a.
The minutes shall be paged and indexed.
b.
Notices of actions by the President, the
UT System Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs,
and the UT System Board of Regents on faculty legislation
shall be included in the official Documents of the General
Faculty.
c.
Copies of the Documents of the General Faculty
shall be [sent] made available to the members
of the Council, members of the General Faculty who desire
them, the UT System Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic
Affairs, members of the UT System Board of Regents, and
selected members of the non-academic staff who desire them.
d.
Bound volumes of the Documents of the General
Faculty shall be kept in the Office of the President,1 Office
of the Secretary of the Faculty Council, and the Texas
Collection of the Barker Texas History Center.
2.
An annual report of the activities of the Council
shall be prepared and presented to the General Faculty by the Secretary
at the fall meeting of the General Faculty. It shall be [distributed] made
available in advance of the meeting. It shall consist of two
parts as follows:
a.
A list of actions taken by the
Council, classified according to type of action,
such as approval, rejection, references to
the General Faculty for review, etc. in chronological
order within each class.
b.
A statement of educational policy
to which the Council has given attention, or
is giving attention, or which has been placed
on the Council's calendar for future consideration.
