[Music] [Traffic noise] Male(OS) Regardless, whatever curves brings--you know, you're gonna have good times, bad times. It's how you handle it, because life's got to go on. You know what I mean. Girl(OS) You have to go like this. It goes backwards, but there's something to--cuz it's almost her birthday. I'm like, like, umm. [Laundry machine hum] Girl(OS) Banana pie, banana pie, you know? Girl 2(OS) It's good to be back together like friends. Teenage boy(OS) They're like, we're trying to start this new group, called Texas Hard Hitters. They exchanged numbers. The next day that guy calls me. I'm half asleep, I wake up. They wanted me to rap for them on the phone. They're like, we heard you got skills. Something told me to get up and rap for these dudes. I got up, I hadn't even brushed my teeth yet. We got a contract now. We gotta be like a family. [Music] Man 1(OS) I'm willing to try anything. Man 2(OS) Right now, you are killing people. Man 1(OS) Like they say, you know. Man 2(OS) Because I live in present; right now. Man 1(OS) And seeing great grandchildren and grandchildren, and so on, and so on. Man 3(OS) True story man. [Music] Woman(OS) I love bikes. I do what I love, here I am. So, I'm a bike gal. We could talk about what's a spoke, what's a cable, kind of deal. I like getting places on my own wheels, you know? I'm an active participant. I don't like the rush, rush, rush of the car world. Man(OS) I do this for friends and kinfolks; that's all. And I learned it myself. Nobody taught me nothing. They said that I had been drinking, which I had. I certainly would, twenty-four hours a day. But I don't ever get no drunker than I am right now. Lord-willing, I'm still going. [Music] [Go-cart engine rumbles] Man(OS) I actually bought it from a little old lady. I thought about it, and I had never won a trophy at all. I got friends, a bunch of beer, and we glued them all on over a series of weekends. And every place I'd stop, people would sign it and write their thing on it. And it's gotten to the point where there's really not much else that I can stick on it. Young man 1(OS) American attitude, culture; you know what I'm talking about? There's another guy that comes in with the third eye, and he says that Russians... Young man 2(OS) In Russia everybody's born into like, birthing tanks. Young man 1(OS) But here in America, we're just smacked in the ass, told to deal with it or something like that. Young woman(OS) The crowd's changed a little, but not considerably. I think it has changed in some ways but, you still have the cab drivers, you still have students, you still have drunks. Young man 2(OS) When you come to the east side, you have more of a mixing of people, various lifestyles. Young man 1(OS) It's Austin. It's like, we're psychically in tuned to figure out government conspiracies before they happen. Young woman This is what we do, everyday. [Music]
