Just the Numbers

The university’s total operating budget for 2010-11 is $2.24 billion.

Out of the shared PUF assets, the university’s revenue share is $158 million recurring: only 7 percent of the budget (compared to 12 percent in 1984-85).

State support has dwindled to 14 percent of the overall budget (compared to 52 percent three decades ago).

Tuition and fees account for only one quarter of the overall budget, at $552 million (or 25 percent).
