Benjamin Jurgensen received his MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University and his BFA in Sculpture from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. From 2010–2013, Jurgensen lived and worked in Doha, Qatar where he was an Assistant Professor and the Digital Fabrication Lab + Woodshop Technician at VCUQatar.

Jurgensen has exhibited works both nationally and internationally at venues including Tasmeem Art + Design Biennial (Doha, Qatar), Design Days Dubai (Dubai, UAE), Marmara University Triennial (Istanbul, Turkey), Pierogi Gallery (Brooklyn, New York), REFERENCE Gallery (Richmond, VA), SCOPE Hamptons (Hampton, NY), Meat Market Gallery (Washington, DC), G Fine Art (Washington, DC), Aqua Art (Miami, FL), and Transformer Gallery (Washington, DC).

His work has been reviewed in publications such as Art Papers Magazine, Sculpture Magazine, The Washington Post, and The Washington City Paper.
