Bethany Johnson

Foundations: 2D and Drawing Foundations
Bethany Johnson earned her BA in studio art at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo in 2007 and her MFA in Painting from University of Texas at Austin in 2011. She has exhibited at the Visual Arts Center, Austin, Creative Research Laboratory, Austin, and her solo show at Moody Gallery in Houston was received enthusiastically in July 2012. She has an upcoming shows at AMOA-Arthouse, Austin and the McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas. Among other honors, Johnson is the 2011 recipient of the Art League of Austin Scholarship, and has held residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Denkmalschmiede Höfgen in Germany. Johnson lives and works in Austin.
