International lectures by Linda Dalrymple Henderson

On June 26, 2015 Linda Dalrymple Henderson presented a talk entitled "Invisible Dimensions of 29th Century Art" at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, Spain.

On August 13, 2015 Henderson will present a lecture entitled "Illuminating Energy in Early 20th Century Art" at the Energies in the Arts conference in Australia.

Graduate Coordinator (Art Education, Design, and Studio Art) kt shorb directs Robin Hood: An Elegy, playing at The Vortex August 7–22, 2015. The play was featured in the Austin Chronicle's "Gay Place: A Feather in the Cap" and "Getting Political With The Tree Play and Robin Hood: An Elegy."

Richard Shiff lectures nationally throughout September

Richard Shiff will lecture nationally during the month of September. Join him on September 3, 2015 for a lecture on Richard Tuttle at Pulitzer Arts in St. Louis, Missouri. September 13, 2015 Shiff will be in conversation with artist Jack Whitten at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On September 24, 2015 Shiff will speak at The Phillips Collection in Washington DC about German art from the 1960s to present.

Alumni and lecturer present work at The Contemporary Austin Crit Group exhibition

Katie Rose Pipkin (B.F.A. in Studio Art, 2014) and lecturer R. Eric McMaster present work in the group exhibition, The Only Knowledge Worth Possessing, at grayDUCK Gallery. The exhibition results from The Contemporary Austin's Crit Group Program and will be on view August 14 – September 13, 2015.

Alumni Lauren Moya Ford (BFA in Studio Art, 2008), Jonas Criscoe (BFA in Studio Art, 2006) and James Huizar (BFA in Studio Art, 2007) participated in the 2015 Teen Artist + Mentor Program at The Contemporary Austin. Works produced by the teen artists and mentors are on view at Pump Project through August 15, 2015.
