The College of Fine Arts at The University of Texas at Austin, established in 1937 by Dean E. William Doty and lead today by Dean Douglas Dempster, is a vibrant community of artists that includes _______ students from around the world, ______faculty of national and international recognition, and ___ staff members who make up the College of Fine Arts and its three academic units: the Department of Art & Art History, the Department of Theatre & Dance and the Butler School of Music. In addition to public art programs such as Landmarks, the College supports exhibition spaces including the Visual Art Center and the Creative Research Lab and academic research centers like Casa Herrera. Fine Arts also houses a professional unit that’s considered one of the leading university arts presenters in the country, Texas Performing Arts, with its newly renovated flagship venue Bass Concert Hall.
