Development Report Vol. 3, No. 1 Fall 2013

After a "packed house" gathering in September, we are readying for the next large council meeting on January 31st.  Every third year, we are hosting two large group meetings in Austin, in addition to our spring regional meetings, which continue to grow in popularity.  As Pam McIlhenny mentioned, we are holding our traditional Advisory Council reception at a different time:  the night before the winter meeting.  On the evening of January 30th, we will gather for a reception and a dinner to honor the 2014 Doty Award recipients.  Please mark your calendars accordingly and plan on arriving in Austin on Thursday, January 30th.

Dial M for MurderDial M for Murder

The response to the fall meeting was overwhelmingly positive, and I thank each of you who attended and offered comments.  Thanks also to the new members who attended the orientation sessions and college tour to learn how Advisory Council members can support the college through fundraising, student recruitment and advocacy.

Please let me know if you would like to receive additional information about our various fundraising initiatives and special projects this year, such as the exciting Menuhin International Violin Competition (February 21-March 2). And I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during my travels around the state this fall.

Thank you for all that you do for the college!

With appreciation,

Sondra
