During the fall semester of 2014, the College of Fine Arts became the first college on UT campus to offer Integrated Advising! This means that all fine arts students are now required to attend programming or advising at Fine Arts Career Services three times during their academic career.
- First semester of sophomore year
- Second semester of junior year
- Final semester of senior year
FACS will offer many new workshops and programs (including the New York and DC Seminars) to help students complete this required advising. Some examples of current workshops for sophomores include a Discover LinkedIn Workshop, Maximize FACS Resources Workshop, and a Build Your Resume Workshop. FACS is currently designing effective and relevant workshops for juniors next semester. Please check our calendar to view all opportunities.
What students are saying...
"This should be required for every grade level/year. I had no clue some of this existed, but I'm thankful I do now. I would not have come to this if it was not required, so THANK YOU for giving us this opportunity. Thanks!"
"Super helpful, really glad this was required because I am not super aware of the resources UT offers to students."
"I love that we have to go to these workshops! Most of the time I don't have time to check my email and so I feel this was a great way to stay up to date with all the resources we're provided."
"The workshop was extremely helpful with informing me of all the opportunities available through UT resources. I was familiar with some, but now I feel more comfortable coming to career services for help and advice."
