Career Services Staff

Ann N. Paterra returns to Fine Arts Career Services as Senior Coordinator after working for a year and a half as the Undergraduate Academic Advisor for Art & Art History.  Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin and brings a wealth of academic and professional experience to her position.  Ann has twelve years experience in both the public and private sectors as a systems analyst.  For the last twelve years she has taught photography at the secondary and university level, including The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward's University, and ACC.  Ann is excited to continue, and expand upon, the strong foundation of Fine Arts Career Services.

Sophia Sherman has recently joined Fine Arts Careers Services as a Career Coach and will be supporting Ann Paterra in advising and facilitating students’ professional direction. Before arriving at FACS in July of 2014, Sophia spent a year working with AdviseTX as a College Adviser at Lehman High School in Kyle, TX. Sophia is an alumnus of the College of Fine Arts, receiving her BA in Art History in May of 2013. She was also a member of the Longhorn Band, serving as President her last year. She is passionate about the arts and excited to use her experience advising to help students discover the many resources that FACS can provide them.

Leah Galuban just recently joined the team at Fine Arts Career Services as Program Coordinator. Leah holds a B.M. in Orchestral Instrument Performance, as well as a Business Foundations Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin. After a year living abroad in Brazil, Leah is excited to be back on campus. In addition to her strong professional experience, she also boasts a wealth of experience performing and teaching. Leah is greatly looking forward to continuing and growing the passionate mission of the Fine Arts Career Services.
