Courtyard Gallery presents work of Anna Collette in "Gathering Ground"
Oct. 2, 2014 - Feb. 6, 2015

The Courtyard Gallery features work by Anna Collette in the exhibition Gathering Ground. The photographs, made in the Onion Creek area, represent the beginning of the artist’s exploration in her new environment and capture the staggering beauty of flood damaged trees. Collette leverages her medium to register images narrowly perceptible to normal vision and, consequently, our conception of the natural world.

Anna Collette joined the Department of Art and Art History as an Assistant Professor in Photography in 2013. Collette received her MFA from the Yale School of Art and her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art. She lives and works in Austin, Texas.
