Visual Arts Center presents Sound + Vision: DOOM

Sound + Vision is a series that promotes experiments in sound, video and performance.

In this edition of Sound + Vision, Scott Gelber culls together shamanistic and spiritual imagery with the oppressive and ridiculous tropes of consumer culture. Like a druid on a jet ski, the Austin-based video artist and animator will consecrate video altars and multi-media performance to impart important knowledge and attempt to reconcile the guarantees of the spiritual with a reality overwhelmed by perpetual doomscapes of enveloping parking lots, amalgamations of Revelation and Sky Mall.
