Event Description:

The first CLUTCH concert of the 2012-13 season at the Butler School of Music will feature fresh new compositions by University of Texas composers Marshall Bessières, Brandon Scott Rumsey, Andrew Sigler, Ben Stonaker, Chris Walker, and Jenna Wright. High caliber musicians of the Butler School will play premieres by for marimba sextet, saxophone quartet, and more, plus the debut appearance of the new cross-genre ensemble "Blurred Divisions." Collective Labors of the UT Composition Hub, CLUTCH, is a UT Co-Op sponsored organization that promotes new music by composers at The University of Texas at Austin. Each year, CLUTCH produces a cutting-edge concert season that brings brand new compositions to Austin audiences. All performances are webcast through the Butler School of Music website.
