| Event Description: | DANIEL HOPE & FRIENDS: Part of the 2012-2013 Texas Performing Arts Season FORBIDDEN MUSIC – MUSIC FROM TEREZÍN Daniel Hope, music director FEATURING MIRÓ QUARTET Sponsored by the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies Presented in partnership with the Butler School of Music and the Jewish Community Association of Austin Presented as part of Creativity in the Face of Death: The Contemporary Resonance of Terezín, a three-day symposium featuring music and dance performances, photo exhibitions, and panel discussions exploring the enduring influence of music and art created by prisoners at Terezín, the “model ghetto” created by the Nazis near Prauge in late 1941.
