| Event Description: | Division of Musicology and Ethnomusicology Il Flauto Traverso: 18th-Century Italian Music for Flute and Harpsichord The residency is organized in collaboration with Editions Flatus Enrico Casularo, flutist, musicologist and organologist, is professor of flute at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome (Italy). Andrea Coen is professor of fortepiano at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and harpsichord in the Conservatory of L’Aquila (Italy). He received his degree in harpsichord from the Royal College of Music in London, to which he has been an associated musician from 1987. He also studied with Ton Koopman, Daniel Chorzempa, Alan Curtis, and Emilia Fadini. His solo recordings can be found on the Stradivarius, Dynamic, EMI (with Aris Christofellis), Deutsche Harmonia Mundi (with Christopher Hogwood and L’Arte dell’Arco), Denon (with I Solisti Italiani), Musicaimmagine Records (with Ensemble Seicentonovecento) and Bongiovanni labels. |
