| Event Description: | In conjunction with their Vaulted Gallery exhibition Diffuse Reflection Lab, Lead Pencil Studio and the Visual Arts Center present an evening of selected cinematic vignettes by a diverse group of directors and cinematographers, all of whom employ reflections in their work to stunning visual effect. This screening explores a curated history of cinema using the phenomenon of reflections as its guide, and each film chosen by Lead Pencil Studio focuses on constructed realities that are informed by, veiled, or distorted through the use of reflections. Excerpts from such filmmakers as Wong Kar-wai, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Lars von Trier, and François Truffaut, among others, will be included in this special event. |
