CLUTCH - New Music by UT Composers

Event Details
Event Title:CLUTCH - New Music by UT Composers (More Information)
Event Description:

The end of the 2012-2013 CLUTCH season has come, which means this is the last chance to hear new premieres by UT composers!
The evening will begin with Joelle Zigman’s quirky ERSATZ for solo viola, followed by billowing WIND WAVES in Jenna Wright’s marimba duet. Then journey through the ecstatically overflowing HOW ABOUT HERE, for small chamber ensemble, by Joshua Shank, the meditative blend of unusual colors in Ben Stonaker’s GEOMETRIC FRAGMENTS NO. 5 for clarinet and percussion, and conclude gliding by with Joel Love’s floating STRING QUARTET NO. 1.
Experience a concert of juxtaposing, interlocking, twisting parts written by living, breathing young composers.

Webcast will begin streaming a few minutes before the performance. Visit the Butler School of Music website to listen.
