Event Title:Austin Theatre Symposium (More Information)
Event Description: The Brockett Center at The University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance, the American Theatre Archive Project, and ZACH Theatre present the Austin Theatre Symposium at ZACH Theatre’s Kleberg Stage (1510 Toomey Road, Austin, Texas 78704). The symposium will focus on the characteristics, history and future of theatre in Austin. The discussion will include remarks from Robert Faires of the Austin Chronicle and a roundtable of members of the Austin theatre community, including the Rude Mechs, ZACH Theatre and Teatro Vivo. Renowned theatre historian Dr. Charlotte Canning of The University of Texas at Austin will moderate the conversation.
