Visual Arts Center presents performance artist Biba Bell
|Event Title:||Visual Arts Center presents performance artist Biba Bell (More Information)|
|Event Description:|| |
As part of its Sound + Vision series, the Visual Arts Center in the Department of Art and Art History presents Biba Bell, whose recent work addresses issues of labor, domesticity, and site-specificity through what she calls a “post-studio” choreographic practice. Inserting herself into a series of private, domestic spaces during a week-long residency at the VAC, she will gather experiences, scenes, materials, and repetitive actions, which will later be incorporated into a performance oscillating between polished and improvised movements.
Sound + Vision presents experiments in sound, video, and performance. Designed in collaboration with contemporary artists, each program provides multisensory experiences through the pairing of visual art and non-traditional media.
