How Your Gift Helps the College of Fine Arts

Fine Arts Capital Campaign

The What Starts Here campaign is the most ambitious fundraising effort in the history of our university and state. Your donation will help The University of Texas at Austin become the world’s leading public research institution, and a gift to the College of Fine Arts will shape the future of culture and the creative economy of Texas and beyond.

I study theatre because it encompasses everything that is important to me: communication, community, and collaboration. Your gift helps students like me share the stories of people that might not otherwise have a voice, expose others to issues that might have never crossed their minds, and transport audiences to whole different worlds.

— Yessmeen Moharran, B.A. Theatre and Dance

Being at UT was an experience like no other. Everything I took away into the world was because of being at UT and being in Austin.

Ways to Give

Annual Fund

The College of Fine Arts’ success depends on the generosity of our entire community of supporters. We are grateful for our alumni and friends who dedicate their time, vision, and resources to ensure excellence in creative practice and education year after year. With more than 20,000 alumni, even small gifts make a huge collective impact.

Endowments

Endowments provide constant support to a student scholarship, faculty position, or program of the donor’s choosing. The gifted funds are invested, and the earned interest provides funding in perpetuity. One gift can support generations of fine arts students.

Estate Gifts

Planned giving is a great way to benefit the College of Fine Arts. Many people only associate this type of giving with wills, estates and legacies and may assume that the benefits flow in just one direction. However, a planned gift can be extremely flexible, include many tax advantages and provide you with reliable lifetime income, while ultimately directing valuable resources to the College of Fine Arts.
