Legacy Project
Created by The University of Texas at Austin, the Legacy Project collects the stories behind the endowments. The Legacy Project describes the multitude of ways endowments improve the lives of others and funds the university’s pursuit of excellence – from donors who give to the university they love, to students who benefit from the generosity of others, and families who strive to make the world a better place. The Legacy Project collects and shares these stories, providing a historical record of philanthropy at The University of Texas at Austin.
When donors create an endowment, they make an everlasting gift to The University of Texas at Austin. An endowment donation is never spent. It is invested, and earnings from the investment provide ongoing support for the university, its students, and faculty.
