There are many: Working with guest director Chris Wells and M.F.A. actors Blake Delong, Natalie Wheeler, and Anastasia Coon on my play, The Most Beautiful Lullaby You've Ever Heard; the collective experience of the 2005 Cohen New Works Festival; love conjure/blues; watching peers and colleagues push themselves/step it up/break open; my wonderful students in my own Playwriting I class; the collective talent and deep generosity of the M.F.A. Playwriting students.

Greg Romero is a playwright/theater artist, originally from Louisiana. Currently based in Philadelphia, his plays, site-specific projects, participatory live-events, and sound-art collaborations have been presented in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, Denver, Louisville, New Orleans, as well as Toronto, Canada and Zürich, Switzerland.
Romero has been a finalist for the Heideman Award, a semi-finalist for the Princess Grace Award, a semi-finalist for the Northpoint Voices Inside Playwriting Residency, twice a semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference, a finalist for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, nominated for the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Theater Artist, and was selected as the first-ever Resident Writer of the ArtsEdge Residency, created by The Kelly Writers House and the University of Pennsylvania. He is one of three playwrights to recently inaugurate the Philadelphia Dramatists Center/Plays & Players Playwriting Residency. He is a recent alumnus of the 2012 WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory.
Romero has been commissioned by The Cardboard Box Collaborative and Little Fish Theater, and is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America. His works are published by The Penn Review, Heinemann Press, and Playscripts, Inc.
