Kirk Lynn
Kirk Lynn is the playwright-in-residence and one of six co-producing artistic directors of Rude Mechs. With the Rudes Kirk has written and adapted more than a dozen plays, including Lipstick Traces, Cherrywood, and The Method Gun, which premiered at the 34th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays in the Spring of 2010. Next up for the Rudes, Decameron Day Three: REVOLUTION! comissioned by Lincoln Center (LCT3). Kirk is also working with composer, Peter Stopchinski on a new opera about Bum Phillips: Cowboy, Coach, Christian, for Monk Parrots in NYC. Kirk received his M.F.A. from the Michener Center for Writers and is currently at work on a novel about deer hunting, brotherhood and obesity entitled The Spikebuck.
