Sarah Rasmussen

Sarah Rasmussen is a 2011 Princess Grace Award Recipient and has served for the last three seasons as Resident Director for Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Black Swan Lab. Sarah has directed and/or developed new work at theaters such as New York Theater Workshop, La Jolla Playhouse, Arena Stage, Hangar Theater, SoHo Rep Writer/Director Lab, Culture Project, PlayPenn, Women’s Project Theater, The Lark and Playwrights' Center.
Recent credits include directing new work at the Humana Festival and O'Neill Playwrights Conference, The Seven (Ten Thousand Things), Crashing the Party (Mixed Blood), and assistant directing In the Next Room (Broadway). Sarah has been a teaching artist in public schools in her home state of South Dakota, and guest artist with Brooklyn College MFA, Long Island University BFA. Fellowships include Fulbright, Drama League and OSF's Phil Killian.  Upcoming: world premieres by Lila Rose Kaplan and Lauren Gunderson and Two Gentlemen of Verona on OSF's Elizabethan Stage.
