Important Information and Deadlines

Freshmen Applicants

All applicants must submit their ApplyTexas application by December 1. The Department will only consider applicants who list our majors as a "first choice." Applicants may check the status of their application and update their major-choices through their MyStatus page.

Transfer Applicants

The B.F.A. in Dance +Teaching Certification is a four-year sequence of training. We cannot predict how the credits you may have pursued at another institution in dance will transfer into our training sequence. Once admitted, transfer students will meet with an advisor during orientation to determine their timeline-to-degree. All transfer students should expect to invest at least two to three full years of study in our Department to complete a B.F.A. in Dance.

All applicants must submit their ApplyTexas application by March 1. The Department will only consider applicants who list our majors as a "first choice". Applicants may check the status of their application and update their selections through their MyStatus page.

Transfer applicants must attend one of the on campus audition dates listed above or submit an online audition by March 1.
