"While we cannot know the shape of tomorrow's war on terrorism, it seems clear that the issues generated by today's war on terrorism will still be of national and international interest for some time to come. The symposium on information and the war on terrorism addressed a wide survey of information related issues in a spirit of democratic openness and with attention given to multiple perspectives. Speakers from multiple disciplines and backgrounds, including law, journalism, middle eastern studies, communications, public policy, film, and library and information studies attended the symposium."
