Long Term Care
Insurance
Long Term Care (LTC) insurance provides funds for needed care when you cannot perform basic activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, without help. LTC services would provide a daily benefit in a nursing home or a 50% benefit for community based care, including home healthcare, an adult daycare/foster care center or an assisted living facility. A lifetime maximum benefit applies to the coverage. As an employee or retiree, you can apply for coverage for yourself and eligible family members (spouse, children over age 25, parents, grandparents, and related in-laws) may also apply. Cost is based on your age at the time of enrollment, the daily benefit amount selected, and whether or not the automatic benefit increase is selected.
