Term-Life Insurance

Employees:

Term-life insurance provides survivors with a monetary benefit. If you're enrolled in a university medical plan as an active employee, you'll receive $20,000 coverage at no additional cost. You have the option to apply for voluntary coverage of one to six times your annual salary, not to exceed $1.5 million. If you have at least one times your annual salary in coverage, you may purchase $10,000 coverage for your dependents. For your spouse only, you can apply for voluntary coverage of $15,000 or $40,000.

Retired Employees:

If you're enrolled in a university medical plan as a retiree, you'll receive $6000 coverage at no additional cost. You have the option to apply for voluntary coverage of $7,000, $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000. For your spouse only, you can apply for voluntary coverage of $3000.
