Position Management Project
The purpose of Position Management is to improve the efficiency, usefulness, and processing of information related to organizational roles and positions at the university. In order to help accomplish this purpose, a human resource management system grounded in positions and position data (a position-driven human resources system rather than an account/employee-driven system) will be designed and implemented.
By basing the system's functionality on the position, users can manage and control the position, regardless of filled/ vacant status and/or accounting transactions.
They can also assign constant position attributes which will be in place regardless of the incumbent.
Additionally the project will fundamentally change the current appointment process by reengineering the way employees are assigned to positions (the employment relationship) and how they are administered.
