- If you’re a Non-Affiliated Student Worker:
- To be eligible for a fall or spring semester appointment, you must be admitted to a university-level institution other than UT Austin and be enrolled in at least six semester credit hours. To be eligible for a summer appointment, you must:

- Unless you are a May graduate remaining in a student title during the summer as stated above, you are NOT eligible for a student title if you have graduated and are no longer a student.
- If you're a High School Student Worker:
- To be eligible for a fall or spring semester appointment, you must be enrolled in high school and be at least 15 years old on the first day of your employment.
- To be eligible for a summer appointment, you must have been enrolled in high school during the previous spring semester, but you don't have to be enrolled during the summer.
- If you graduate from high school in May, you are eligible to be in this student title through August 31 of the same year.

Finding a Student Non-Academic Job
Many non-academic student positions on campus are listed in the Hire a Longhorn job bank. However, many student positions are filled at the department level, so we suggest you also check with the department where you’d like to work. The department may list open positions on its Web site or on bulletin boards located near the department’s administrative offices.
