Hometown: Originally from Hutchins, Texas, a small city outside Dallas.

High school: David W. Carter High School, home of the Carter Cowboys.

Facts about your family: I am the middle child of three. My father passed away in December 2000, and my mother is the best single parent in the world. I have a niece who is three but thinks she's thirty.

Why did you choose to attend The University of Texas at Austin?
I knew that coming to a diverse school like Texas would prepare me for all of the different kinds of people that I would meet in the “real world.”

What is your major? Human Biology B.S. and I am going pre-dental.

What do you want to do when you graduate from the university?
When I graduate from the university I plan to go to dental school and then open my own orthodontics practice.

If you had to choose one thing about yourself to share with the university's Web audience, what would it be?
I am a shy person, but my cell phone is my favorite material possession, not the one that means the most, just my favorite.
