It seems as though the ramp up wasn't quite as harsh as last semester. Granted I have a whole lot of stuff to do in the next two weeks, but it somehow seems manageable. I have two papers and at least two tests. Should be fun actually.

The oddest thing about this semester is that one of the classes that had so much potential to be good is very much the opposite. Conflict and Peace (or the History of Nonviolent Protest) sounded so amazing in the descriptions, but what they cannot tell you in the descriptions is the fact that it is taught with all the skill of a high school health class, with about two days of videos for each day of lecture. Not only that, but you must keep a journal and participate in a group project.

Everything else is great though. Latin has started coming together for me, Psychology texts are fun but the lectures cannot always compare, and Pursuit of Happiness is as interesting as I had hoped.

In other news...I got my retail sales and use tax permit for my business, ordered the first batch of shirts, and by the time they get here I should have the first run of designs ready to rock. Among the new powers I have is the ability to buy products like shirts and ink without paying sales tax by virtue of my permit. I also was able to claim my equipment as a business expense on my taxes.

I also went from an impecunious situation to actually having money. I was in debt to the bank approximately $70 while having exactly zero dollars either in my pockets or on my desk, with the fact also that I had used almost all of my laundry money for coffee. I then received through the course of two days $370. There goes a major stressor.

It appears that just about everyone I know is joining a fraternity or sorority. It is a strange situation. All I can say is another one bites the dust. I know that I will continue enjoying not having that kind of bond even though they ostensibly will. By the time you read this I will be at “Igby Goes Down” with two girls I met recently. Until next time.
