Pain is the fifth vital sign…

Turns out that I had no finals this semester (beautiful!) but because I procrastinated on my independent study project that was due, I still managed to experience the end of the semester craziness. All is well, I managed a 4.0 for this semester (one of my goals I made for myself as a freshman) and now I’m back at home.

Usually I love being home, now I’m sick of it. You see, this Christmas break I thought it would be a great idea to get my troublesome foot surgically corrected before I start my career as a nurse in June. Ugh. Sitting at the same couch for hours and hours watching all the lame day time TV shows and soaps is only fun for a little while, and it gets really intolerable when your pain medication stops working.

Now I know why they teach us that pain is the fifth vital sign.
