PCL time.

The Perry-Casteneda Library is my second home. I’m always here, usually with my boyfriend Scott and often with some of our other friends, Travis and Tiffany, studying, reading, and reviewing CDs for KVRX 91.7.

I enjoy it, because the quiet environment is extremely condusive to getting lots of work done. At the same time, reading for HOURS on end can be tiring. Thus, I’ve gotten into the habit of bringing my laptop so that I can take occasional breaks. This weekend has been pretty lazy; I got up early on Saturday morning (8am) to get to the gym, and then I volunteered at Sprachfest (a german competition for Middle and High School students.) It was my first year judging, and it was great fun! It also means extra credit in my german class, which is great:) Then I mostly wasted time until dinner, which I had at Mr. Natural’s, a vegetarian place. I highly recommend it; their vegan desserts are incredible! Then I went to see ‘Starter for 10.’ It’s a new movie with James McAvoy, of ‘The Last King of Scotland’ and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ fame. It was funny, uncomfortable, and good. I’m going to try to get to bed early tonight, because this week (as always) is going to be EXTREMELY busy. I’m going to an interview for the Journalism department’s honors program, Senior Fellows, on Monday. Tuesday is my audition day for an Orientation program, and then Saturday I am holding auditions with my committee for our production. Very, very busy. So, I’m off for now! I’ll update you on midterms soon, which are fast approaching:/ Have a great week!
