Longhorn Confidential

I Act Like a College Kid (And So Can You!)

After participating in Longhorn Saturday (which was a blast, by the way), I realized that a lot more people are interested in UT than I thought. But it seems that a lot of them have some predisposed perception of the college life. No fear, Ha is here! It’s time we found out how close you all are to livin’ it real. Think you can be a college student, perspective longhorns? Take this UT College Kid 101 Quiz to find out!

All Together Now

My To-Do List from Last Weekend:

  1. Zip line over a cliff
  2. Egg toss across a pond
  3. Rock climb a 25-foot wall
  4. Have Q-tips blown at me while I was covered in tape
  5. Extreme Bonding

Mission Accomplished.

Matching Tees and Family Dinner!

So this past week has been pretty hectic. I am in the middle of finishing up a huge project, rewriting one of my papers, and catching up on a ton of reading. Oh, that and I have not yet gotten my Halloween costume. Mid-semester crunch time has set in!

However, I have had time to upload some photos from my camera. Including the one I promised of Jon and I in matching UT shirts!

A Night To Remember…

I’m sorry that I haven’t had a post in a while. I decided to take a week long vacation. Well it wasn’t really a vacation because I had to go to class and take notes, but I didn’t have anything due this week or any tests, so for the first time this semester I could take a break. LOL!

College Ages You

If you dont want to expedite the inevitable aging process, dont come to college. Ive become more conscious of my wrinkles as I walk to and from my apartment. I spend a third of the time thinking about how heavy my backpack is, another third about what I might be forgetting to do, and another third thinking about how old Im going to look when its all done. One of the busiest times of the semester for most students: [scary movie sound] midterms.

Since back in a day, which was a Wednesday, by the way…

I bring tidings of great joy today. I’m going to teach you not one, not two, but THREE lessons of comical injury (not an oxymoron, mind you). After all, what better way to spend a rainy day at the start of autumn than by reading up on the embarrassing predicaments of other people? I’ll provide the laughter, you provide the fanmail. So let’s go… I’m a cashew…

Rough Times & Friction

Well, here I am and I’m already about half-way through my first semester of college. It’s pretty incredible how much has changed in such a short amount of time. In high school, life was so much more monotonous and simply…predictable. In college…not so much. It’s so hard to keep track of what’s going on when there’s so much going through my head everyday!

Walk to Cure Diabetes!

This past weekend I participated in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. I have type 1 diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes), so being able to do the Walk each year is something that means a lot to me. This year I raised close to $800 – yay!

I took a bunch of pictures, take a look!
