I just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday. Now that finals are over (whew!) and winter break is here, I hope everyone has a nice, relaxing vacation. Stay safe and see you all next month!
So here I am, finally back home for the break. At first I was relatively excited to get back to College Station for awhile, but it certainly didnt take long for me to start missing Austin. Its kindof a strange feeling being back at home after having moved away for semester. Sure its the same old room, with the same old cats, and the same old parents, but I cant help but feel a bit different. Perhaps its the transition from school stress to family stress that feels a bit odd.
It was a turbulent finish, but a finish nonetheless. Four months and a $232 speeding ticket later, its time to take a break. Semester one of year two is in the record books, and it doesnt get any easier. Stress still remains high despite being a veteran of the academics.
I made it. Christmas vacation is so, so near.
So I played my final UT Symphony Orchestra concert last Wed. I have completed my large ensemble degree requirements and will be student teaching. I truly love orchestral playing so it was a little sad playing my last concert at UT, but it was superb! I had the opportunity to play principal viola.
I recently had the fantastic opportunity to take part in the inaugural performance of the UT Chamber Orchestra at the Blanton Museum of Art. Violin Professor Brian Lewis and viola Professor Roger Myers invited UT string students to join them in performance on Dec. 2nd.
Wow, what a crazy past two weeks! You haven’t seen me because I have just finished submitting all of my law school applications. It was a long process, but I am finally finished. And now, I would like to share my TOP 5 APPLICATION TIPS that I have learned from applying to both colleges and law schools.
As classes finally come to an end, my birthday inches closer, and the weather is (almost) staying somewhat stable, everyone is finally embracing the end of the semester. Well, embracing probably isnt the right wordcause who wants to embrace a big pile of finals? Maybe its better to embrace whats after the finals.
So I had the entire weekend to do this project, but I waited until the day before it was due to finally start it. I need to work on this thing called procrastination because it only makes my life a lot harder…LOL!
Oh, it’s that time of year again… the limbo period between holiday feasting. Introduction? Check.
