Girls, Girls, Girls or: Someone? Someday? Maybe?

Statistically, for any one girl on this campus,

There are 3 guys vying for her affection.

All other things equal of course.

And 9 times out of 10,

That leaves me on the outside looking in.

That leaves me to fight with the dogs,

For the affection of a beauty queen.

To roll with the hogs,

Just to be placed on her practice team.

All I can do, is tell it like it is,

Don’t lie, study hard, and be ready for my next quiz,

Be ready for the next opportunity,

My next chance to truly shine.

And if not, I hope my skills age just like wine.

People always say,

Something will come, somehow, some way,

Someday.

One day?

But one day is just as good as no day,

And tomorrow is always still a day away,

And my day is way overdue.

I say this time, the choice is on you.

Time for you ladies to have to choose of 3 guys,

Then we shall see those whom are truly wise,

And those who are just plain desperate.

Those who seek a good man to marry,

And those who are needy, wanting popularity.

I’m sick of fighting for attention.

If I have to be 1 out of 3,

I’ll be 1 for 1 who may choose me.

Van.
Any girl that’s not smart enough to pick you is, well, for lack of a better word, stupid.
And stop thinking that you’re the only one in that situation.
I’m in the same spot that you are. Except, there are like 4 girls vying for 1 guy’s attention. :(
Just wait it out, man.
She’ll turn up eventually. :)

Van, you need to stop trying to look for the right one, she will look for you, or somehow it will happen.

you must endure the storm before you can see the rainbow.
every guy has the opportunity to get the girl he dreams of…9 times out of 10, the guys messes that up on appearance. for the guy who has a swagger, he messes it up with his arrogance. you my brother, on the other hand, are the archetypical man for a woman. don’t pursue love. let it come to you and when it does, she’ll melt like butter. you got it mayne.

Hey Van,

I like the way you tell what you feel by a poem. But I have to tell, you are the selector man! Let women frustrate, you are the one who selects her. You have to lead, anything less is reactive. So you have to be proactive, and you are starting good man, by being social. Saying Hi, starting a conversation, leading. Rather than waiting for it to come.
