For Once, I’m Waitlist-Free!
Currently listening to: Guster – Either Way
This morning, I registered for my last set of undergraduate courses. Ingrid, a classmate and good friend, captured a senior sentiment on Twitter when she registered yesterday:
I Do Ask For Autographs
Currently listening to: Rilo Kiley – Breaking Up
Umm, hello? October, where did you go? I just can’t believe autumn has arrived here in Austin. At this point, the cooler weather is refreshing and clean; but give it one week, I’ll be begging for my dry Texas heat. And this is coming from a girl who will thrown on a cardigan at 80 degrees.
So what’s a girl to do when the weather turns nipper? The activities turn indoors, to be sure, but they are equally entertaining – and sometimes, they come with a celebrity factor here at UT.
A Day Inside the Beltway
Although no day inside the Beltway (aka, the District of Columbia) is typical, I think Wednesday, October 22, is a good example of life as an Archer Fellow.
Seven Days
Last week was a big flop.
Saying Sorry or: I Don’t Usually Do This Sort of Thing, but Here Goes Something
Sorry?
I’m sorry?
Eh, um… I didn’t…
I hate saying sorry,
Probably because there are very few things worth being sorry about.
Night Market
Night markets (夜市) are like festivals in Taiwan. Except they happen every night. Amid the fun-filled activities and excellent food provided by the Taiwanese American Student Association, TASA’s annual night market had lots of entertaining performances.
There are those times
There are those times when
I
want to give up and
I
have to stop and say
Where does time go?
The first full round of exams for all of my classes concluded this week. So far, I have only received my not-so-exciting government exam grade I mentioned in a previous post and my Nutrition exam grade. Still waiting for my Latino Politics and History class exam results.
Two Weeks
In two weeks, this nation will have a whole lot of new government.
Registration
Got up early today to go to freshmen advising for the spring semester. My advisor’s appointment times were way early in the morning, my scheduled appointment was from 8:30 – 9:00. I arrived exactly on the minute, but I ended up leaving at 8:36. Luckily I had planned out all the classes I wanted to take back at the dorm.
