My fellow engineers…
OK, so being the typical nerd I am, I got a crazy idea and decided to implement it. Got out of class today around 1 p.m., and finding myself with nothing to do (a rare ocassion) I decided to design a new T-shirt for myself. Of course it would have to do with Texas. And of course it would have to do with engineering.
From Southeast to Northwest Austin!
Over the past month or so, I have been taking occasional breaks from studying, working and BLOGGING to move from one apartment to another during what has been one of my busiest semesters so far.
Last Stop of the Night
So I’m staying away from Facebook for a while.
The Beginning of the End
Currently listening to: Landon Pigg – Can’t Let Go
Today marks the beginning of the end. My last 10 days of college. Can I panic yet?
… But You’re Bringing Me Down or: The Beauty of an All-Nighter
Ah the beauty of an all-nighter.
Never is the load any lighter.
And when it is,
We just procrastinate until the load is unmanageable.
Video Game: Pong Basketball
Hey there! Here’s a game I have finished development for in the Undergraduate Game Development Class. It will be presented May 13 at the Game Development Showcase. (I’ll write more about that later!) In the meantime, enjoy this two-player experience!
The Internet
Earlier today, the Swedish high court brought down the decision concerning the fate of the online file-sharing network The Pirate Bay.
Someone Please Call 911 or: Emergency! Emergency! (A Sonnet)
A firetruck just passed by. Emergency! Emergency!
Students no longer have the right of way.
An ambulance follows soon after. Everyone turn and see!
Students then go on about their day.
A Birthday Celebrates Three People
Currently listening to: Crowded House – Hey Now, Hey Now*
April is my favorite month. It’s a month of celebrating spring, a month closer to summer, and yes, my birthday. I have not properly celebrated my birthday in years – homework, bad weather, traveling friends and family – but I was determined to do it right this year. I celebrated for eight – count ‘em – days!
Spring is Sprung; I, However, Am Not.
It’s 75 degrees outside, the sky is blue, birds are chirping. Spring is here (summer, nearly) and I am at work in the FAC, busily putting appointments into the system which will then, inevitably, drop them. There are no windows in the Undergraduate Writing Center. On days like today, that seems like an immensely cruel architectural decision.
