… But You’re Bringing Me Down or: The Beauty of an All-Nighter
Ah the beauty of an all-nighter.
Never is the load any lighter.
And when it is,
We just procrastinate until the load is unmanageable.
The night is young at 10 p.m.
Basketballs still bounce on Gregory rims.
Music plays in random apartments,
As architects are just making their way to their department.
The heart of UT still beats
As people neglect their cozy bed sheets
And leave their rooms for PCL meets.
We all cram for different reasons
And regardless of the changing seasons
College will mostly be about
Coffee and God knows we couldn’t live without
All-nighters to get us through.
From the land of Z’s
Will hopefully come A’s,
More likely B’s,
Still a few C’s,
And unfortunately D’s.
Those with F’s are already with Z’s,
Or up for different reasons…
